Ideal Wiring Duct LH 14 Section 170361

The Ideal 170361 is a left-hand wiring duct supplied as a casing assembly for Ideal Commercial boilers. It carries and routes the appliance's internal wiring harness along the left-hand side of the casing, keeping conductors clear of hot surfaces and moving components. The duct is built in 14 sections, so it can be trimmed or shaped to suit the routing required on the appliance it is fitted to.

• The duct is cracked, split or broken along its length, leaving the wiring run unsupported.
• Sections have distorted or melted, which points to heat exposure or a wiring fault nearby.
• Retaining clips or fixings have snapped, so the duct no longer sits flush against the casing.
• Wiring has started to chafe where the duct has come away, exposing insulation.
• The casing will not refit cleanly because the duct no longer holds its original shape.

• Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as the duct is handed and only suits the left-hand side.
• Check the label on the existing part: older appliances may carry the previous number 82298825 or the alternative number 1177573.
• Inspect the wiring harness and any grommets or seals at the same time, as damage to the duct often accompanies damage to the loom it carries.
