The Ideal 170148 is a lower baffle measuring 572mm long, manufactured by Ideal for use in the flue ways of Ideal Commercial Harrier appliances. The baffle sits in the lower section of the heat exchanger passage, where it slows the passage of hot flue gases so more heat is transferred into the water circuit rather than lost up the flue. It is a serviceable item and is removed and refitted during cleaning and combustion checks.
