Ideal Smokehood Assembly 5 & 6 Section 170134

The Ideal 170134 smokehood is a casing assembly that sits above the heat exchanger on Ideal Commercial Harrier sectional boilers. It collects the products of combustion leaving the 5 and 6 section castings and directs them into the flue path, so the boiler draughts correctly and flue gases leave the appliance as intended.

It is supplied by Ideal for its commercial boiler range and is built to suit the section count of the appliance, so the hood footprint and outlet align with the casting arrangement beneath it.

• Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the smokehood body
• Soot or condensate staining around the hood joints or flue outlet
• Flue gas spillage, poor draught or combustion readings traced to the hood area
• Heat damage or warping following a prolonged overheat or blocked flue
• Loose or corroded fixings letting the hood sit off its seating

• Confirm the boiler is a 5 or 6 section model, as the smokehood is matched to the section count
• Check the number on the existing component against 82198913 before ordering
• Inspect the sealing gasket at the hood joint and renew it if it has hardened or perished
