What it is
The Vaillant 160108 is a diaphragm pump assembly produced by Vaillant for its heating and hot water appliances. A diaphragm pump moves water by flexing an elastomer membrane inside the pump head, which draws water in on one stroke and pushes it out on the next. In an appliance hydraulic circuit this provides a steady, self-priming flow without the close tolerances of a rotary impeller pump.
