What it is
The Ideal 154925 is a 3/4 inch straight adaptor, a fitting used to make an in-line connection between pipework and a component on the appliance. It sits within Ideal's adaptors and connectors group and is supplied as a spare for the Elise and Evo HE boiler families. The adaptor carries a straight threaded connection at 3/4 inch, allowing the mating pipe or component to be joined without an elbow or offset.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or dripping at the adaptor joint, with water tracking down the pipe or fitting
- Corrosion, pitting or scale build-up on the adaptor body or threads
- Damaged or cross-threaded threads that will not pull up to a sound seal
- Repeated pressure loss traced back to the connection rather than the appliance itself
- Staining or discolouration on the casing or surrounding components below the joint
Before you order
- Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list to confirm the model.
- Match the existing fitting against part number 154925 or the alternative number 1177149 before ordering.
- Inspect the joint for a sealing washer or gasket and order a replacement if the existing one is worn or compressed.
- Confirm the connection size and orientation on the appliance, as the adaptor is a straight 3/4 inch fitting.
