What it is

The Ideal 153475 is a baffle hook supplied within the Ideal Spares range. It locates and retains the baffles inside Ideal commercial heating appliances, keeping them held in their correct position so the flue gas path and heat transfer surfaces behave as designed. The hook is a small but load-bearing fixing: once it bends, corrodes or loses its grip, the baffles it secures can shift.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Baffles sitting loose, rattling or dropping out of position inside the appliance
  • The hook is bent, cracked or visibly corroded at the point where it holds the baffle
  • Baffles cannot be refitted securely after cleaning or servicing
  • Combustion or flue gas readings drifting outside the expected range because baffles have moved
  • Distortion or wear around the hook where it locates into the baffle

Before you order

  • Check the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering
  • The previous number for this hook is 96020671 - confirm the number marked on the existing part
