Ideal Baffle Left Hand 153465

The Ideal 153465 is a left-hand baffle for Ideal Commercial Falcon GTE and GTE4 appliances. It sits within the heat exchanger or flue path and shapes the route the hot combustion gases take, slowing them and spreading them across the metal surfaces so heat transfers into the water circuit rather than escaping up the flue. Baffles are exposed to constant heat cycling and flue gas condensate, so they eventually distort, corrode or burn away.

• Flue gas readings drifting out of the expected range, or combustion analysis that will not settle after servicing
• Visible corrosion, scaling, cracking or distortion on the baffle when the heat exchanger is inspected
• Soot or heavy deposits building on the baffle surfaces, pointing to poor combustion or restricted gas flow
• Overheating or short-cycling of the appliance as heat transfer through the exchanger falls away
• Rattling or vibration from the flue path where a loose or degraded baffle no longer sits correctly in its location

• Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as Falcon GTE and GTE4 variants use different baffle arrangements
• Check that the left-hand position is the one required - baffles are handed and are not interchangeable between sides
