Ideal Assembly Rod M8 x 580mm 153439

The Ideal 153439 is an M8 x 580mm assembly rod supplied for 5 section boiler assemblies. It is a threaded rod used to draw and hold the sections of a commercial boiler assembly together, forming part of the rods and spindles range for Ideal Commercial equipment. It is listed against the Falcon GTE family of commercial boilers and their burner variants.

• The rod is visibly corroded, pitted or has lost material along the threaded length
• The thread is stripped, flattened or will not take a nut cleanly
• The rod is bent or bowed, so the section stack will not pull up square
• Nuts bind or seize part way along the rod during assembly or strip-down
• The rod snaps or stretches under load when the assembly is tightened

• Confirm the boiler model and section count against the compatibility list, as rod length is matched to the number of sections
• Check the part number on the existing rod or the appliance documentation before ordering
• Note the alternative and previous numbers listed below, which may appear on older documentation or labels
• Work on commercial boiler assemblies should be carried out by a competent engineer, with the appliance isolated and made safe beforehand
