What it is

The Warmflow 1476 is an oil-fired flow switch carrying the reference VKX 15MZ F141. It is fitted to Warmflow oil combination appliances, where it detects flow through the water circuit and signals the appliance to fire. A working flow switch is what allows the boiler to respond to a hot water or heating demand.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The appliance fails to fire when there is a hot water or heating demand
  • Hot water runs intermittently, cutting in and out during draw-off
  • The pump runs but the boiler does not respond, suggesting no flow is being detected
  • Repeated lockouts or fault indications linked to the flow circuit
