What it is
The Ideal 139264 is a gas cock — an isolation valve fitted on the gas supply to the appliance, used to shut the gas off for servicing, commissioning or fault finding. It is manufactured by Ideal for the Ideal Commercial Concord CXDI range of commercial boilers. The valve body carries 1 1/2 inch female connections at both ends and is supplied in the RC configuration shown on the parts listing.
Signs this part needs replacing
- A smell of gas around the valve body or at the spindle during a tightness test
- The valve handle turns but the gas supply is not fully shut off
- The spindle is stiff, seized or will not move through its full travel
- Weeping or staining at the gland or the connection joints
- Visible corrosion or mechanical damage to the valve body
