What it is
A 28mm press-fit ball valve manufactured by Altecnic, supplied with a butterfly lever and an extended handle. The ball valve provides quarter-turn isolation on pipework, with press-fit ends that are permanently crimped onto the pipe using a compatible press tool.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping from the valve body or around the spindle
- The handle turns but the valve no longer isolates flow
- The lever has become stiff, seized or difficult to move through its quarter turn
