What it is
The Vokera 1196 is a natural gas main burner for Vokera gas boilers. It sits in the combustion chamber and distributes gas across the burner surface to support ignition and a stable flame. It is used across the Eclipse, Hydra and Pinnacle appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Flame lifts, is uneven, or burns lazy and yellow across the burner surface
- Boiler locks out or fails to establish flame at ignition
- Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the burner body
- Soot deposits or blackening around the burner and combustion chamber
- Repeated ignition faults traced to poor gas distribution at the burner
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model against the fit list above
- Check whether the appliance is natural gas or LPG — this burner is the NG version
- Confirm the existing burner's part number or the replaced code 8889
- Inspect the burner seal and ignition electrodes while access is available
