What it is
The Vokera 1194 is an NTC thermistor sensor used on Vokera gas boilers. It provides temperature feedback to the boiler's control system so that flow and return temperatures can be monitored and modulated. It is a serviceable component fitted across the Eclipse, Hydra and Pinnacle appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or shuts down intermittently with a temperature-related fault code
- Domestic hot water or heating temperature is erratic, running hot then cold
- Radiators or hot water stay cold despite the boiler firing
- Boiler short-cycles or modulates poorly
- Resistance reading across the sensor is outside the expected range for the measured temperature

- Check the fault code or resistance reading to confirm the sensor is at fault rather than the wiring or PCB
- Inspect the sensor lead and plug for damage, corrosion or poor contact
- Note the sensor's location on the appliance before removal to aid refitting
