Ideal Manifold Gasket Air Box 113157

The Ideal 113157 is a manifold gasket, also listed as an air box gasket, produced by Ideal for its Classic and Classic Combi appliances. It seals the joint between the manifold and the air box so that combustion air and flue gases follow the intended path through the appliance rather than escaping at the mating faces. It is supplied as a spare for the Classic range and is held under the gaskets, o-rings, seals and washers group.

• Cracking, hardening or flattening of the gasket material at the manifold to air box joint
• Sooting, staining or discolouration around the joint, suggesting leakage past the seal
• Whistling or unusual noise from the air box area while the appliance is running
• Combustion readings that cannot be brought into range and point to the manifold joint
• Gasket damage discovered when the manifold or air box is removed for other work
