What it is
The Ideal flame detection electrode, part number 112364, is a sensing probe fitted at the burner of Ideal Commercial boilers. It monitors whether a flame is actually present, so the appliance does not continue to pass gas once the burner has failed to light or has gone out. This electrode is used across the Ideal Commercial Concord CXC and CXD Series 3 range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out during or shortly after the ignition sequence
- Repeated flame failure faults logged on the control
- The burner lights but the control does not register a flame and shuts the gas valve
- Intermittent lockouts that clear on reset and return on the next demand
- Visible damage, heavy contamination or a distorted probe tip on inspection
