What it is
The Ideal 111268 is an isolation gas cock ball valve used on Ideal Commercial appliances. It has a 1 inch x 3/4 inch DF connection with a V2000 square head, and it lets an engineer shut off the gas supply to the appliance for servicing or fault finding. It is listed by Ideal as a commercial boiler spare and is fitted across the Concord CX range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The gas cock will not turn, or the square head has seized and cannot be operated by hand.
- Gas can be smelt at the valve body or around the spindle when the appliance is running.
- The valve weeps or shows staining at the spindle or at either connection.
- The appliance cannot be isolated properly during servicing because the valve passes gas when shut.
- The square head is rounded, cracked or missing, so the valve cannot be operated with a spanner.
