What it is
The Ideal cleanout cover C x 40 is a combustion chamber access cover used on Ideal Commercial Concord CX and CXA 40 series boilers. It closes the cleanout aperture in the combustion chamber so the chamber can be swept and inspected during a service and then sealed again. The cover is supplied by Ideal for its commercial boiler range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Soot or combustion deposits tracking past the cover face
- Corrosion, pitting or heat distortion of the cover plate
- Damage to the sealing face, allowing leakage at the cleanout aperture
- The cover no longer seats squarely after the combustion chamber has been cleaned
- Visible cracking or heat damage across the cover
