What it is
The Vaillant 108602 is a sealing O-ring used across a number of Vaillant gas boiler and water heater ranges. It forms a compression seal at the joint where it is fitted, preventing water or gas leakage under system pressure. It is a service part intended for routine maintenance and repair work.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible water weeping or dripping from the joint the O-ring seals
- The O-ring has hardened, flattened or lost its elasticity
- Cracking, splitting or surface damage on the ring
- The ring has deformed or stretched and no longer sits correctly in its groove
- Water tracking or staining around the joint after the appliance has been running
