What it is
The Altecnic 15mm Radiator Extension Piece is a brass fitting used to extend the connection between a radiator valve and the pipework or radiator tail. It is supplied by Altecnic for use within their radiator valve range, allowing a valve to be set off further from the radiator where the existing pipework does not reach.
Signs this part needs replacing
- A weep or drip at the extension joint after the system is refilled or pressurised
- Visible corrosion, scaling or green discolouration on the fitting body or threads
- The extension no longer seals correctly when the valve is removed and refitted
- Damage to the threads or hex flats preventing a sound, leak-free connection
