What it is
The Vaillant 100376 is a temperature limiter used in Vaillant gas boilers. It forms part of the boiler's safety circuit, cutting the burner when an overheat condition is detected. It is listed under thermostats within the Vaillant boiler spares range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out on an overheat fault and will not reset
- The appliance cuts out during a demand for heating or hot water and requires a manual reset each time
- Repeated lockouts that return shortly after resetting
- The limiter shows no continuity when tested, or the reset mechanism no longer operates
- Overheat trips occur with no other obvious cause in the heating circuit
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
- Check the part number and markings on the existing limiter before removal
- Confirm the reset type and connection arrangement match the part being replaced
- Isolate the appliance and follow the manufacturer's instructions for safe access
