What it is
The Vokera 10024301 is a heat exchanger for Vokera Rain 28 series gas boilers. It transfers heat from the combustion gases into the boiler water circuit, which then feeds the heating system and domestic hot water. It is a primary hydraulic component, so replacement is normally carried out by a competent heating engineer.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water leaking from the heat exchanger body, seals or connections
- Repeated loss of system pressure with no visible external leak elsewhere
- Overheating, kettling or noisy operation during heating or hot water demand
- Boiler locking out or failing to reach temperature under normal demand
- Discoloured or contaminated system water suggesting internal corrosion of the exchanger
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the appliance data badge
- Check the existing heat exchanger part number where it is legible on the component
- Verify that the fault is with the heat exchanger and not the pump, diverter valve or system pressure
- Allow for new seals and gaskets where these are required to complete the repair
