What it is
The Vokera 10022659 is an ignition transformer used in Vokera gas boilers. It converts the low-voltage supply from the boiler's control board into the high-voltage current needed to create a spark at the ignition electrode. This spark lights the gas at the burner, so the transformer is central to reliable boiler ignition.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite and goes to lockout
- No spark visible at the ignition electrode when the boiler attempts to fire
- Audible clicking from the boiler but no burner ignition
- Intermittent ignition, with the boiler sometimes firing and sometimes locking out
- Repeated lockout codes relating to flame failure or ignition
