What it is
The Vokera Safety Valve Outlet Tail is a discharge pipe fitting for the pressure relief (safety) valve on Vokera gas boilers. It carries the valve outlet through the casing so the discharge can be routed safely away from the appliance. It is supplied under Vokera part number 10020898 and replaces earlier code 10023065.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, scaling or pitting on the tail where it meets the safety valve
- Water tracking or staining around the valve outlet, indicating a poor seal
- A weeping or dripping discharge at the outlet tail with the system at normal pressure
- Cracking or deformation of the tail, often after frost damage or overheating
- The tail no longer seats correctly or the discharge pipe cannot be secured to it
