What it is
The Johnson & Starley 1000-0701710 thermocouple is a flame-sensing component used in the safety circuit of Johnson & Starley gas boilers and appliances. It generates a small voltage when heated by a flame, allowing the gas valve to remain open while a flame is proven. If the flame is lost, the voltage drops and the gas supply is shut off.
Before you order
