What it is
A gas control replacement kit manufactured by Johnson & Starley, supplied under part number 1000-0701145. The kit converts an existing SIT Nova gas control to a Honeywell V4600C1326B gas valve. It is intended for use on Johnson & Starley Hispec warm air units.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The pilot will not stay lit or repeatedly extinguishes
- The burner fails to ignite on a call for heat
- Flame height or burner pressure is erratic and cannot be set correctly
- The gas control does not respond to thermostat demand
- Soot deposits or a smell of gas around the gas control assembly
