What it is

The Johnson & Starley overheat cutout device, part number 1000-0516830, is a safety thermostat used on Janstar boilers. It monitors appliance temperature and interrupts the burner circuit when the boiler exceeds its safe operating limit. The boiler will not fire again until the overheat condition has been resolved.
