What it is
The TTB switch (overheat device) is a thermodisc safety switch manufactured by Johnson & Starley for its warm air unit range. It monitors temperature at the appliance and interrupts the control circuit if an overheat condition develops. It is a serviceable safety component, not a general-purpose thermostat.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The appliance locks out or shuts down and will not restart until it has cooled

- The switch reads open circuit when tested, or fails to change state on temperature rise
