What it is
The Potterton 10/20351 is a wax diverter valve assembly used in Potterton Puma and Combi 100 gas boilers. It controls the flow of primary water between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit, moving in response to the wax element as it heats and cools. The assembly replaces the earlier code 929803.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water runs cold or only lukewarm while the heating is running
- Radiators heat up when only hot water is drawn
- Hot water temperature fluctuates or drops away during a draw-off
- Diverter valve fails to move between heating and hot water positions
- Visible scale, debris or damage around the wax element or valve body
