What it is

The Main Self Adhesive Tape is a 1.25 metre roll of self adhesive tape supplied by Main for use on its Medina RS and Severn boiler range. It is used where a sealing or securing tape is called for during service and repair work on these appliances.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The adhesive backing has dried out and the tape no longer sticks to the surface
  • The tape has lifted, curled at the edges or detached in service
  • The tape has hardened, cracked or become brittle with heat exposure
  • The tape is discoloured, contaminated or has lost its sealing integrity
  • Tape is missing or damaged after the appliance has been stripped down for repair

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model against the fit list, and check the serial number on Medina RS models, as fitment is limited to units up to serial number 303109
  • Check the length of tape required against the 1.25 metre supplied
  • Inspect the surface the tape is applied to and confirm it is clean and dry before fitting
  • Check the condition of any adjacent seals or fixings while the appliance is open
