What it is

The Alpha 1.8244 is a 7 bar pressure and temperature relief valve with a 90-degree configuration. It is fitted to Alpha gas boilers and solar thermal appliances to discharge water if system pressure or temperature exceeds safe limits. The valve forms part of the appliance's pressure relief and safety valve group.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water continuously dripping or discharging from the valve outlet when the system is not overheating.
  • The valve fails to reseat and close after it has operated.
  • System pressure will not hold or keeps rising despite correct filling pressure.
