What it is
The Alpha 1.2408 is a right-hand ignition electrode for Alpha gas boilers. It sits in the combustion chamber and provides the spark that lights the burner on demand. This is the right-hand electrode of the pair used on the CB, HE and SY appliance families.

- Boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the burner
- Repeated ignition lockouts or failed ignition attempts
- Visible erosion, pitting or burning at the electrode tip
- Cracked or discoloured ceramic insulator
- Spark arcing to earth instead of across the ignition gap
