What it is
The Alpha Side Panel Cage Nut, part number 1.041157, is a captive fixing used on Alpha boiler casings. It sits in the side panel mounting position and provides a threaded anchor point for the panel retaining screw. It is used across the Alpha E-TEC and Evoke appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The cage nut spins in its mounting hole and the panel screw will not tighten
- Threads are stripped or cross-threaded so the retaining screw will not grip
- The cage is deformed or cracked, allowing the nut to fall out of the panel
- The side panel cannot be pulled tight against the casing
- The nut is missing after panel removal or service work
