What it is
The Alpha 1.035248 is a crossheaded self-tapping screw measuring M3 x 10mm. It is used across a range of Alpha gas boilers to secure panels, brackets and internal components. The self-tapping thread cuts into the mounting material as it is driven, so no separate nut or pre-threaded hole is required.

- The crosshead recess is rounded or stripped, causing the screwdriver to slip.
- The screw is corroded, rusted or seized in place.
- The thread no longer grips and the screw turns without tightening.
