What it is
The Alpha 1.025910 is a graphite burner seal (gasket) used on Alpha E-TEC, Evoke and InTEC boiler ranges. It seals the burner mounting face, preventing combustion gases escaping at the joint. The graphite construction is suited to the high temperatures found at the burner.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, crumbling or compression damage to the graphite gasket
- Sooting or staining around the burner mounting face
- Combustion readings drifting outside the expected range on a service check
- Smell of combustion products local to the burner joint
- Gasket breaks up or flakes when the burner is removed for service
