What it is
The Alpha Manual Air Vent is a manually operated vent fitted to Alpha InTEC 50CS boilers. It allows trapped air to be released from the primary heat exchanger circuit so that water can circulate freely. The vent is operated by hand when air needs to be bled from the system.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Air has to be bled from the primary circuit repeatedly
- Water weeps or drips from the vent body or cap
- The vent does not seal properly after being closed
- Circulation problems or cold spots consistent with trapped air in the boiler circuit
