What it is
The Alpha 1.023673 is a Dungs gas valve used on Alpha gas boilers. It regulates the flow of gas to the burner under the boiler's electronic control, opening and closing on demand and holding the correct pressure for safe combustion. It is supplied as a boxed Alpha part and is the current number for the earlier 1.018808 valve.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to light, with no gas reaching the burner despite a call for heat.
- Repeated lockouts or flame-failure faults shortly after ignition.
- The burner lights and then drops out, or the flame is weak and unstable.
- Clicking from the valve area with no subsequent ignition.
- Gas pressure at the burner test point reads low or will not hold steady.
