What it is
The Alpha 1.022102 is an automatic air vent used on Alpha CD and HE series gas boilers. It continuously releases trapped air from the heating circuit, helping to prevent air locks, circulation noise and uneven heat distribution. It is a serviceable component within the boiler's water circuit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent body
- Persistent gurgling or air noise in the boiler or pipework
- Repeated air locking requiring manual bleeding
- Cold spots or uneven heat across radiators despite correct system pressure
- System pressure that will not hold steady
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Check the existing part number 1.022102 on the component or in the manufacturer's parts list
- Confirm whether your appliance is an LPG variant, as the listed fitment covers LPG models
- Isolate and drain down as required before fitting; work on gas appliances must be carried out by a competent engineer
