This is the 3 bar pressure relief (safety) valve fitted to affected Alpha boilers, which opens to release water if the system pressure rises too high. It is supplied complete with O-rings, genuine Alpha part number 1.021739, listed by the manufacturer's own parts records as fitted from boiler serial number A64100308.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The valve weeps or discharges water even at normal system pressure
  • The valve will not discharge when pressure is too high
