What it is

The Alpha DHW flow switch (part 1.020831) is a sensor fitted in the domestic hot water circuit of Alpha combi and system boilers. It detects water flow when a hot tap is opened and signals the boiler to fire for hot water production. This version is specified for the HE33 LPG appliance family.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • No hot water when a tap is opened, with the boiler failing to fire on DHW demand
  • Hot water runs intermittently or cuts out part way through a draw
  • The boiler fires for heating but not for hot water
