What it is
This is Alpha's primary/condensing heat exchanger, fitted to the CD24R System boiler. It transfers heat from the burner into the system water and recovers additional heat from the flue gases as they condense.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Reduced heating output or the boiler struggling to reach temperature
- Kettling or banging noises from the heat exchanger
- Leaking or weeping from the heat exchanger body
- Boiler locking out on an overheat or blocked-flow fault
Before you order
- Match the part number printed on your existing heat exchanger before ordering
- Isolate gas, electrical and water supplies before removal
- Check whether a new gasket set is needed for the fit
- Have this fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer

Fitment listings are a guide, not a guarantee. Plant-room assemblies get modified on site more often than not. Send us the GC number off the data badge and a photo of the existing valve and we will confirm before anything is dispatched.
