What it is
The Alpha 1.018062 is a drain tap used on selected Alpha gas boilers and cylinders. It provides a controlled drain-down point on the appliance or cylinder, allowing water to be emptied from the system for servicing, repair or decommissioning. It is listed by the manufacturer as a cylinder drain valve.
Signs this part needs replacing
