What it is
The Alpha 1.010707 is a detection electrode for Alpha gas boilers, also described as a flame sensing electrode. It monitors the burner flame and signals the boiler's control board so the appliance can prove ignition and continue to run safely. It is used on the Alpha CB50 LPG.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler attempts ignition but locks out without proving flame
- The burner lights and then extinguishes shortly afterwards
- Repeated lockouts on the flame detection circuit
- Visible corrosion, cracking or contamination on the electrode probe
- Damaged or brittle electrode lead or connector
