What it is
The Vaillant 097725 is a flue collector cap used on Vaillant Thermocompact and Turbomax gas boilers. It closes off the flue gas collector, sealing the point where combustion products are gathered before entering the flue path. The cap forms part of the combustion circuit and must be correctly seated to keep flue gases contained.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the cap
- Signs of flue gas spillage or staining around the flue collector
- Combustion or exhaust odour near the boiler casing
- Boiler flue-related fault codes or repeated lockouts
- Deteriorated sealing face causing an incomplete seal at the collector
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and revision number against the fit list above
- Check the existing cap for damage before ordering to confirm the fault
- Verify the part number 097725 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Flue and combustion components should be fitted and checked by a competent heating engineer
