What it is
The Vaillant 090715 is a complete ignition electrode with a bent profile, used on Vaillant gas boilers. It sits in the combustion area and provides the spark that lights the burner when there is a demand for heat. It is supplied as a complete assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the burner
- Repeated lockouts or ignition faults on start-up
- Cracking, discolouration or damage to the ceramic insulator
- Eroded, pitted or carbon-fouled electrode tip
- Spark tracking to earth instead of across the electrode gap
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and check it against the fitment list
- Compare the bend and mounting of the existing electrode with the part
- Inspect the ignition lead and connector for damage before refitting
