What it is

The Vokera 088181 is an expansion vessel used in Vokera Linea MAX and Linea MAX SE gas boilers. It absorbs the volume increase of water as the heating system heats up, limiting pressure rise and protecting the boiler and system components. This vessel replaces earlier code 088042.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • System pressure rises sharply when the boiler heats up and falls again as it cools.
  • The boiler loses pressure repeatedly and needs frequent topping up.
  • Water discharges from the pressure relief valve during normal operation.
  • The vessel does not hold its air charge when checked at the Schrader valve.
  • The boiler locks out or shuts down on low system pressure.
