What it is
The Danfoss HP22B is a two-port motorised zone valve supplied complete with its actuator. It uses a paddle closure inside a 22mm external compression body to open or close flow through a heating circuit on demand from a room or cylinder thermostat. Part number 087N6642 sits in the Danfoss zone valve range and is used to isolate or release flow to an individual zone of a wet central heating system.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The zone stays cold while the thermostat is calling, and the pipework either side of the valve remains at the same temperature.
- The actuator runs but the paddle does not move, so flow is never established or never shut off.
- A zone overheats because the valve is stuck open and cannot close against the thermostat signal.
- Water weeps from the compression joints or from the valve body around the spindle area.
- The actuator buzzes, stalls or fails to respond at all when 230 V AC is applied.
Before you order
- Confirm the valve body is a 22mm external compression connection and that the existing actuator is a matching H-series unit.
- Check the supply is 230 V AC at 50/60 Hz before fitting a replacement actuator or complete valve.
- Note the previous number 087N664200 when cross-referencing an older installation.
