What it is
The Vaillant 083435 is a 15 x 15 compression fitting used on Vaillant gas boilers. It forms a mechanical joint between two pipe ends of matching size, sealing on an olive compressed by the fitting nut. It is a service part for the appliance pipework rather than a control or combustion component.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or visible water at the joint
- Damp staining, corrosion or verdigris around the nut and olive
- Scale or mineral build-up on the fitting body
- A joint that will not seal after re-tightening
- Pitting or discolouration on the fitting
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model matches one listed in the Fits section
- Check the GC number on your boiler's data badge against the model you are working on
- Verify the connection size required on the appliance is 15 x 15
- Inspect the adjacent pipework and olive for damage before refitting
