What it is
The Drayton RT212 is a thermostatic radiator valve supplied as a 10 mm angled body with an integral head. It regulates the flow of water through an individual radiator so the room temperature can be set and maintained at the chosen level. Because the head is integral to the body, the unit is supplied complete and no separate sensor head is needed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The radiator stays cold or overheats regardless of where the head is set
- The head is stiff, seized or no longer turns through its range
- Water weeps from the spindle or the body joints
- The valve will not shut the radiator down when the head is turned to minimum
- The head has separated from the body or is visibly cracked or damaged
