Ideal Thermostat Pocket Spring ATE0013 079839

The Ideal 079839 thermostat pocket spring is a small retaining spring that fits inside the thermostat pocket on Ideal Commercial appliances. Its job is to press the thermostat sensor or phial hard against the wall of the pocket, so heat from the water passes into the sensor consistently and the control reacts accurately. Ideal lists the spring under the reference ATE0013.

A compressed, corroded or missing spring lets the sensor sit loosely in the pocket. The result is sluggish or erratic temperature sensing, which shows up as unstable appliance temperatures and unnecessary cycling.
