What it is
The Ideal sight glass assembly comprises a sight glass and frame, supplied with two sight glass gaskets, two M5 hex nuts and two washers. It is fitted to Ideal Concord and E TYPE appliances so the burner flame can be viewed through the casing. The assembly forms the complete viewing point, with the gaskets sealing the glass to the frame and the nuts and washers securing it.

- Cracking, crazing or chipping visible in the sight glass
- Staining or weeping around the glass and frame joint
- Water or moisture tracking past the gasket
- Discolouration of the glass obscuring a clear view of the flame
- Gaskets that have hardened, flattened or perished
